Helping You Choose
Buy with confidence
Buying a caravan holiday home is a big investment. Your new holiday home should give you pleasure for many years, so it's important that you take the time to make the right decision.
Price isn't everything; you need to make sure you get a fair deal - where you know all the terms of the contract. Make sure you ask the right things- see questions to ask - so that you're fully aware before you buy.
Grading systems
The British Graded Holiday Parks Scheme (BGHPS) was devised by the National Tourist Boards for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, working with the National Caravan Council and the British Holiday & Home Parks Association.
Each park is awarded a grade, and is also given a description so visitors know what type of park to expect, e.g. 'Holiday Park' for sites whose main business is holiday caravans.
The number of stars gives you an indication of accommodation standard, cleanliness, ambience, hospitality and service. Generally, the more stars the higher the level of quality. To search a list of NCC member parks and locate one in the area you want, go to find a park.
